JOB OVERVIEW
This hands-on technical position will work on implementation and supporting issues in a complex corporate network environment. This position will participate in all day-to-day activities and project goals. Technical responsibilities include providing design, implementation & support of WLAN, LAN, MPLS and WAN. As a technical specialist, this position will be required to provide resolution guidance to the other team members for advanced systems design, problem resolution and project management. Network/systems security will be a heavily emphasized set of responsibilities for this position, including but not limited to intrusion detection & digital rights management. Will help lead and actively participate in projects supporting network implementations and enhancements. Determines appropriateness of moderate equipment changes or modifications to provide a high level of security according to network service level agreement.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support all corporate network services, maintaining SLA’s for security and reliability
  • Maintaining and completing helpdesk tickets based on priority
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.)
  • Configure and setup Cisco Firewalls, and other Security appliances for access to vital business applications
  • Evaluate new networking solutions, providing recommendations for design and solution strategies
  • Design & manage network implementation projects in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Provide support to all corporate wide Information Technology departments
  • Flexible work hours required
  • Installing, supporting and maintaining new server hardware and software infrastructure
  • Managing email, anti-spam and virus protection
  • Analyzing and resolving faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password
  • Managing the website and keeping internal networks running
  • Manage the implementation, configuration, deployment and ongoing support of the VMware vSphere server infrastructure hosting enterprise applications
  • Install and configure VCenter, ESX servers, HA, VMotion, DRS, Disaster Recovery, and P2V migrations
  • Administering SAN and other storage through Fiber and iSCSi connectivity
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory 2008
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Domains and Domain controllers
  • Support of other operating systems Mac OS X, Chrome, CentOS, and Redhat
  • Other duties as assigned
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP experience and working knowledge
  • Hands-on expertise with a wide variety of network related tools, concepts, technologies, best practices and security procedures
  • Microsoft Certifications and working knowledge
  • 2+ years of current SharePoint administration experience
  • Requires a BA/BS in Related Field
  • Note: Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance is required - (TS/SCI Preferred)
