Corporate Billing Specialist (Fortune 500)

The Billing Analyst is a key member of the Corporate Finance Department. This position requires a confident, self-starter that is able to effectively communicate with all levels across the company.  This individual will need to be able to identify process improvement opportunities and research and resolve unique billing issues.

  • Client interaction: all Billing Specialists get to work directly with internal customers and clients (you will not just be looking at invoices all day- but actually get to know your customers) 
IDEAL CANDIDATE (if this describes you- let's talk):
  • Not Just a Processor: we are looking for candidates with a solid history of delivering billing solutions to clients, not someone who just clocks in processes claims and invoices and clocks out
  • Attention to Detail and Love for People: this person will almost be OCD, but with a love for and ability to interact with people
  • Team Player: if you like being on a team and not just sitting in your cube all day long- this team and company are for you.
  • Reconcile bi-weekly and month end billing for the Company’s various product lines
  • Reconcile bi-weekly and month end internal transfers
  • Communication of billing/transfer errors to field personnel
  • Process miscellaneous billing adjustment and ensure proper coding
  • Assist field personnel with ticket/invoice research
  • Process monthly unbilled interface
  • Process haul pay interface
  • Process journal entries as required
  • Account reconciliations
  • Monthly and year end reporting and any other special projects as assigned
  • Provide direct leadership to other positions within the billing department
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent related experience
  • 3-5 years of finance/accounting experience
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced Excel knowledge
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to analyze and interpret result to make impactful recommendations
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to perform in an ever changing environment will be key to the success of a potential candidate
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
