Our client is seeking an experienced Corporate Recruiter who will be responsible for delivering recruiting success for the North America business. This role is based in Herndon, VA and reports to the Group HR Manager with dotted lines to all North American managers and potentially global hiring managers in EMEA and APAC in order to fulfill their resourcing requirements. The successful candidate will converse with managers and recruitment companies alike in order to understand resourcing requirements and fill accordingly. Open roles are varied across multiple business units and work locations – as such a recruiting plan is to be developed and followed.   • Develop and execute a recruiting plan that also encompasses an interviewing plan for each open position and maintain regular contact with managers to determine the effectiveness of the recruiting plan and adjust as necessary
  • Create job descriptions and post them on the website, social media sites, professional networking sites and various online job boards and if appropriate, with a recruitment company or head-hunters. All should be promptly updated once the position is filled.
  • Wherever possible, develop a pool of qualified talent in advance of recruiting needs using traditional and creative recruiting strategies
  • Manage the use of recruitment companies and headhunters – passing over terms of business to General Counsel and Operations Manager for sign-off
  • Communicate company culture, values, customs and benefits to candidates and recruitment companies / headhunters
  • Evaluate applicants to determine suitability for the role and the company
  • Coordinate interviews for the hiring Manager and respond accordingly to successful and unsuccessful candidates • Conduct interviews (telephone and face-to-face) when required
  • Conduct reference checks
  • Assist the efforts of payroll and the HR Team by providing support and timely and accurate information for their action
  • Work with Marketing / PR to enhance the company profile as an “employer of choice”
  • Communicate with colleagues regularly to gauge morale, promote our internal referral policy and source new candidate leads
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of best practices and initiatives ensuring that appropriate documentation is in place which meets corporate policy and legislative frameworks
  • Research innovative approaches for continual improvement across the recruiting function by maintaining knowledge on industry trends and legislation
  • Observe high levels of confidentiality and discretion at all times
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as reasonably requested
  • 3+ years of experience working in a similar role with demonstrated working knowledge and application of recruiting / HR principles and practices
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, psychology or a related field
  • Passion for the field of recruiting and the strategic importance it plays within an organization
  • Understanding of Federal and State employment law and the ability to apply that to the business
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities, executing with excellence at all times
  • Strong problem solving skills (independent thinking, decision making, good judgement)
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple time-zones
  • Work with employees across all levels of the organization comfortably
  • Compassion, diplomacy, decorum along with the confidence to express your opinion in a meaningful way
